Our Story
Born from seeing what could be better
BFT Medical Centres didn’t start in a boardroom. It started with a simple observation: most medical centres weren’t being run the way they could be.
The traditional GP owned and operated model was built on good intentions, but it often leaves brilliant doctors stretched too thin. Running a business, managing staff, navigating compliance, handling operations, all while trying to deliver quality patient care. Something had to give, and too often it was the clinic that suffered.
We saw outdated systems, time poor practitioners, and clinics that hadn’t evolved with the way modern healthcare actually works. And we decided to do something about it.
BFT was founded to take the operational burden off great doctors so they can do what they do best. We handle the infrastructure, the systems, the accreditation and the support, so every GP who walks through our doors can focus entirely on their patients.
We’re just getting started. Southport Metro Medical Centre is our first clinic, and we’re building BFT the right way. Carefully, collaboratively, and with the long term health of our communities firmly in mind.

Southport Metro Medical Centre is the first BFT clinic and the foundation we’re building everything on. Located in the heart of Southport at Australia Fair Metro, it’s a mixed billing, AGPAL accredited practice with a full multidisciplinary team.
We’re growing carefully and deliberately. Every new clinic will carry the same values, the same standards, and the same commitment to the communities it serves.
